Finland 2012 NWIN Nordic Wind Integration Research Network Finlandia Hall, Helsinki 30th October 2012
The Nordic Wind Integration Research Network (NWIN) is pleased to invite you to participate in its second seminar to be held in Helsinki on Tuesday October 30th.
NWIN is a pan-Scandinavian network established to strengthen collaboration between Nordic researchers and industry representatives. NWIN purpose is to provide a forum for researchers and experts from the Nordic countries to discuss openly the challenges introduced into the electricity markets by significant amounts of electricity generation from wind power. NWIN offers researchers and experts working in relevant areas the opportunity to present and discuss their work, to learn about new developments, concepts and practices, and to identify future research needs.
NWIN is part of the Integration of large-scale wind power sub-programme of the Top-level Research Initiative (TRI), the largest joint Nordic research and innovation initiative to date.
The Helsinki seminar will provide an update on wind power research carried out during the past year by NWIN’s members: Danish consulting company Ea Energy Analyses, Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) from Finland, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and the Swedish research programme North European Power Perspectives (NEPP).
In addition, the seminar will be guested by ABB, the Finnish TSO Fingrid, Fortum and VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland.
